The Magic of Light and Color in Our Lives

Light and color are more than just visual phenomena; they shape our emotions, influence our perceptions, and enhance our daily experiences. From the iridescence of a peacock's feathers to the calming blues of the ocean, the interplay of light and color brings beauty and meaning to our world. The brilliant hues of a sunset can evoke a sense of peace and wonder, while the vibrant colors of a blooming garden can lift our spirits and spark joy. The subtle variations in shades and tones can transform a simple room into a cozy haven or an inspiring workspace. Embrace the vibrant spectrum around you and let it inspire your day, illuminating your path with its endless possibilities and enriching your life with its boundless beauty.

Structural coloration

Structural coloration is the production of color in animals and some plants via microscopically structured surfaces that interfere with visible light, in lieu of pigments. For instance, peacock tail feathers are brown but their microscopic structure also reflects blue, turquoise, and green light, resulting in iridescence.

Colours are generated when a substance is marked with fine parallel lines, consists of one or more parallel thin layers, or is otherwise made up of microstructures that align with the colour's wavelength.

At present, there are no commercial machines capable of creating nano-level structures that replicate true natural structural color. However, alternative methods for achieving velvet holography do exist.

Color by Reflection

Thin-film interference is a natural phenomenon in which light waves reflected by the upper and lower boundaries of a thin film interfere with one another, increasing reflection at some wavelengths and decreasing it at others. When white light is incident on a thin film, this effect produces colorful reflections.

Thin-film serves as the fundamental base material from which we develop our intricate faceplate pattern. This versatile material, when deftly combined and meticulously shaped layer by layer, enables us to create an extensive variety of blueprint patterns. This method opens up an array of possibilities, allowing us to imbue a single plate with a unique architectural flavor that still maintains certain underlying similarities. These similarities create a cohesive pattern structure, yet the actual layers and the way they construct the overall pattern are determined by the random nature of the process. This randomness adds an element of unpredictability, ensuring that each pattern becomes a unique piece of art in its own right, despite being created within the same overarching architectural framework.

This holographic plate can be used in wide number of application such as Knife, decoration. We have go through number of experimental and trail, error to find the correct formula to get our goal which are:

  1. Increase the diversity in hue and color range of each block/cell
  2. Reduce the pattern size to fit into smaller size of IEM faceplate
  3. Reduce the thickness while maintaining the perception of 3D pattern
  4. More depth and pattern connection

    Imaginative Perception

Much like interpreting a piece of art, each individual perceives this faceplate design differently due to their unique pattern and viewpoint. Perception varies based on surrounding light, angle and distance.

The holographic pattern diffracts distinct light profiles at various angles, offering observers different perspectives of the object. The surface creates a convincing 3D effect, thanks to the deep grooves and raised blocks.

As the distance grows, even if minute details may reduce, the relationship between patterns becomes more apparent, enriching our overall understanding of shapes and lines. Similar to constructing a sentence in a language, this transformation links isolated elements into a cohesive, meaningful whole.

With this design, our product stands as a canvas for your imagination. Each glance at the faceplate sparks a unique interpretation, akin to a song that unfolds new layers with each listen.

    Infinite Velvet pattern

Velvet pattern is the design that combine wide range of coloration in the visible light spectrum brings an impressive feeling because of the diversity of colors and energy.

This blueprint is a testament to the vast and varied beauty of the natural world. It highlights the importance of biodiversity, showcasing the multitude of different species and ecosystems that exist on our planet. It serves as a reminder that each element in nature, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, plays a crucial role in maintaining the balance of our environment.

By delicately adjusting the individual elements of the design, we gain the ability to control the dominant color of each individual local block within the piece. This fine control over color dominance allows us to create a wide variety of visual experiences, each one distinct from the other. The transient or temporary nature of these color changes, as the viewer's gaze moves from block to block, gives rise to fascinating optical effects. These effects, always shifting and changing, ensure that the viewer’s visual experience remains dynamic and engaging, avoiding any risk of becoming monotonous or boring. This is a testament to the power of careful design and color control in creating compelling visual narratives.

    Deep Ocean pattern

Blue is a primary color across all models of color space. It is the color of the ocean and the sky; it often symbolizes serenity, stability, inspiration, or wisdom. It can be a calming color, and symbolize reliability.

Unlike the Infinite Velvet pattern, the Deep Ocean pattern primarily features the color blue. The design divides the plate into large sections, blending green and yellow at the edge as the boundary transition to create a harmonious hue. The bold and deep color of the surface symbolizes the sea's depth, which is still a mysterious to human with current modern device.

This color perfectly complements the acoustic characteristics: neat, gentle, and delicate in every note.
